I am deeply passionate about social and environmental issues, and believe that design can play a huge role in addressing societal inequities, while also treading lightly on the planet. I would love to be more involved in design for accessible spaces, such as Rehabilitation Centres, Retirement or Respite Facilities, accommodation for refuges and homelessness, as I believe that the most vulnerable and overlooked members of our society, are the most deserving of having access to spaces that provide beauty, and dignity, to let a little more sunshine into their lives.I draw much of my inspiration from the natural world and apply the scientific approach of using trees, plants, light, and colour to aid in healing and bringing calm and welcome to a space.Beginning my tertiary education at the Victorian College of the Arts, I studied Musical Theatre, then seeking to learn more, attended Monash University to Major in Journalism, Philosophy, and Anatomical Drawing. I eventually found my way into Interior Design and Architecture, which has awakened a drive and passion for a career in this industry. I bring with me, a wealth of diverse experience and life skills. I am well traveled, have run my own performing arts company, have extensive experience and enjoyment in high end customer service, and love working in an collaborative environment, a vast amount of practical knowledge about restoration, renovating, heritage styles, and passive solar design.
