Thank you———Previously:Finally completed my PhD within three years and after searching for a postdoctoral research oportunity, I found my new calling in mental health social work. I am happy with my current position and not looking for a job anymore.My other interest and expertise are in participatory media, indigenous methodology, decolonisation, social justice, the use of media by grassroots and indigenous communities, story telling, democratising the media, and information flow for democracy human rights and social justice.While researching participatory media as a PhD candidate, I was also working in homeless drop in centre and sometimes at a mothers and babies unit. I have a qualification (MA) in social work and registered with Social Work England (formerly Health and Care Professions Council or HCPC). My passion is to work with the marginalised. I am interested in multi-disciplinary work and have been working a journalis, a social worker, an academic and an interpreter. I am bi-lingual and keen to learn more languages whenever possible.The rare combination of humanitarian, social work and journalism gives me the unique position and insight to connect the issues of human rights and social justice from the point of view of the grassroots people, the government and the NGOs. Having experience as a trainer, language teacher, translator and interpreter gives me the skills to work in international academic and multi-cultural settings. As a filmmaker, I have produced a number of documentaries on human rights and social justice issues.
