Barrister specialising in EU, competition (antitrust), procurement and public law. Often deal with matters requiring a combination of those specialisms, e.g. economic regulation and telecoms. Much of my work is advisory, but I also represent clients in court - mainly the Administrative Court, Technology & Construction Court, and the Competition Appeal Tribunal.Particular interest in UK-EU relations law, subsidy control law, UK internal market law, and collective actions for breaches of competition law.Interested in the potential for competition law and sectoral regulation to help raise living standards in less developed countries. Assisted the Government of Malaysia in drafting their competition legislation.Previous experience: Judicial Assistant (law clerk) to the then Senior Law Lord, Lord Bingham, and taught public law at King's College London. Also worked at the Law Commission, carrying out research into the compliance of the English law of bail with the European Convention on Human Rights. Panel member, Independent Human Rights Act Review.Other roles: Governor, Barrow Hill Junior School.
