Let's revolutionise the way that we treat childhood cancers. Progress has been made to improve survival, yet more can be done for every child affected by cancer. Did you know that survivors of paediatric cancer may face lifelong health complications after treatment? More effective and safer treatments are required, but they are slow to reach children in need. We can do better. Children are not mini adults, and a child-first approach is needed to solve the unique problems of childhood cancer.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My Journey: I want to make a meaningful impact in improving human health.I get excited by breaking down complex problems, creating ideas and finding solutions that can change lives. Answers to the complex health questions of the future will need to take on board perspectives from diverse areas of knowledge. My scientific journey has taken me from the intricacies of the sub-organelle world to clinical interventions attempting to enhance the lifelong health of individuals. This work has spanned cancer, maternal and childhood health, obesity, mitochondrial metabolism, and neuroscience. The common thread connecting these areas is my belief that creative thinking and reflective testing are the keys to understanding.I am always open to connecting and collaborating with like-minded thinkers and innovators to make real life impacts by untangling the mysteries of our world.
