Personal interests:- I enjoy a wide range of physical activities such as boxing, running and weightlifting and do these most days of the week around work and college work.- I enjoy learning a range new things from multiple sources and more experienced people who pass on their knowledge.- I enjoy developing my communication and people skills whilst working at JPG who are a great company to work for and learn from.Skills and knowledge:- Over half a decade work experience with over half of that time being spent in the construction industry. - Started as an apprentice technician at JPG in September 2021 and have since worked my way to a promotion as a Technician in the Infrastructure team in early 2023.- Accumulated vast amounts of skills and knowledge in Civil 3D, AutoCad and Micordrainage, with basic skills in Revit. - Experienced in modelling, designing and visually presenting the following:- Surface Water, Foul Water and special case drainage networks in harmony with project constraints and plot/ highway levels designs.- Plot, externals and highway levels designs using Civil 3D, done around project related constraints and requirements.- Cut/ Fill analysis on sites to achieve material balance and/ or costings of material quantities for importing/ exporting where required.- Highways geometry and surface levels design, including signage design, General Arrangement plans and Lining & Kerbing drawings to adoptable or private standards/ project requirements.- Worked closely with the geo-environmental team to produce site investigation plans and other associated plans, subsequently producing geotechnical long-sections showcasing conjectured ground conditions/ make-up.Other experience and personal qualities:- Experienced in the technician role of presenting drawings in a attractive manner, maintaining good company reputation and boosting appeal to clientele.- Good industry knowledge and understanding of typical construction design and building process (BIM) and how this improves engineering work quality. - Experience on writing reports related to drainage design and flood assessment, as well as assessing written reports for use in design.- Good office and work decorum, with a work ethic to match it. Eager and passionate about the work I produce and the industry I work in, and I aim to make a positive contribution to the industry and my workplace.- Enjoy working with others as part of a team and learning from more experienced colleagues, asking them questions to advance my knowledge, understanding and value as an employee.
