Managing the marketing and promotion of the largest and liveliest literature festival in the North of England.Responsible for customer record management, distribution of programmes, flyers and other marketing materials. Booking adverts, working with our PR team to raise the profile of the Festival. Managing the Festival's social media accounts and analysing data to produce reports on booker data and the success of marketing campaigns. Other duties include managing volunteers and working within the Festival team and event management.

Planning festival operations, booking accommodation and negotiating contracts with authors, agents and publishers. Managing both accommodation bookings and day ticket bookings for audience. Promoting and marketing the festivals including writing press releases, newsletters and mail outs. Maintaining and developing social networks and content managements for festival website. Running short term projects such as the Big Read and Crime on Tour (smaller events within libraries). Artist liaison and green room management at events, including looking after 80+ authors at the annual crime writing festival, with all events starting and ending on time, ensuring the smooth running of the festival. Overseeing the implementation of a new internal box office system, developing the systems needed to make this work within the organisation and ensuring the new system worked smoothly for both festival staff and customers and troubleshooting problems as they arose.Managing small teams of volunteers and festival assistants during busy periods.

Setting up/ running a children's letter writing competition. Working with partner organisations to establish the competition and promote it to schools. Producing marketing materials, developing social media presence. Initial planning for a literacy programme.
