I am currently attending Salve Regina University where I will be getting my bachelors in Biology in May of 2024. Over the last four years I have acquired a great deal of knowledge in all aspects of the human body and chronic illnesses. I have a deep passion for the field of endocrinology, which has been apart of my life from a very early age. Growing up with my dad battling diabetes, has fueled my interest, and I've gained invaluable experience in caregiving and understanding the impact of chronic illnesses on individuals and families. Recently over the month of January, I studied abroad along the Rio Negro in Brazil, where I had the incredible opportunity to study various species and ecosystems. This eye-opening experience not only broadened my understanding of diverse health challenges, but also instilled in me a sense of adaptability and an eagerness to embrace new challenges. During my early college journey I worked as a medical records intern at Women's Health Specialty Care, gaining practical experience in the healthcare system. This role has equipped me with a strong foundation in medical documentation and the importance of maintaining accurate and confidential patient information. More recently I have been balancing my academics with a 30 hour work week as a server downtown at Bar and Board Bistro, which has shaped my time management skills. These experiences have not only shaped my work ethic, but have also instilled in me a sense of resilience that I believe is crucial in the medical field. As a senior, on the cusp of graduation, I offer a distinctive combination of academic dedication , hands-on caregiving experience, and a global outlook. I am excited about brining this diverse skill set, along with exceptional time management, to contribute meaningfully to the medical field.
