During Kamala Harris' successful bid for U.S. Senate, I was part of a large group of interns and lead a team specifically focused on political work for the campaign. This included writing memos and giving presentations of CA media markets, researching key voter blocs, and lobbying for endorsements from local elected officials. The experience honed my skills in communication, writing, teamwork, and using Microsoft Office.

At Lindamood-Bell, I tutored over 25 students, many with learning disabilities, in reading, spelling, and writing using the company's own program based on sensory-cognitive functions. In order to be successful, I needed to tailor my teaching style and communication to each individual student and develop a rapport with parents. I also coordinated with my managers to develop progress reports for students.

My time at the LA County Board of Supervisors was a fantastic experience to observe how a large government organization functions, and work with 3rd District staff through the budget approval process. I analyzed new spending projects prior to budget approval, and organized a bus tour for 3rd district staff highlighting Supervisor Yaroslavsky's key achievements during his tenure.
