- One of the lead epidemiologists for Monroe County, FL. Conducted disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, responsible for implementing control measures to stop the spread of disease for all FL required reportable diseases.

- Worked remotely doing COVID contact tracing, and case investigations. Investigated outbreaks and provided education to COVID-19 positive individuals along with their close contacts.

 Contract nurse for Florida Department of Health in Monroe County conducting COVID-19 testing, and COVID contact tracing/case investigations. Served as team lead for the COVID-19 contract nurses doing contact tracing. Strengthened my ability to build a rapport with people over the phone.

 Third travel nursing assignment. Utilized my ability to quickly adapt to new environments to provide patient care. Medication administration and documentation utilizing E-Mar. Documented the patient’s plan of care using identified nursing diagnosis, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions. Assessed signs and symptoms to detect changes in the patient condition. Supervision of patient care assistants.

 First and second travel assignment learned to adjust to new environments more effectively with just 1 shift of orientation. Worked on a post-surgical unit primarily focused in genitourinary and gastrointestinal surgeries in a 600+ bed hospital. 2nd assignment at a level 3 trauma center where I gained more experience with palliative/oncology patients, as well as orthopedics.

Travel nurse contract completed in Tucson, AZ on a post surgical unit for 3 months. Then began new contract Puyallup, WA where I worked on an oncology/palliative floor.
