Responsible for the operation of computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software, organization wide. Accountable for the execution and integration of IT projects. Responsibilities include:•Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing IT projects•Identifying and assessing project risks•Keeping key stakeholders abreast of project status•Evaluating the functionality of systems and testing and/or modifying systems to ensure that that they operate reliably•Selecting, purchasing, and installing appropriate hardware and software, ensuring software licensing laws are followed•Designing, implementing, and managing security, maintenance, and backup procedures•Providing user training, support, advice and feedback•Consulting users and other key stakeholders to ascertain needs and to ensure that facilities meet user or project requirements•Managing IT budgets•Researching and identifying IT industry trends, attending industry conventions such as Microsoft Ignite.
