Marketing can be such a vague term. You might be wondering what exactly I bring to the table, how I work, and what inspires me. It's hard to talk about myself, but a recent personality test I took sums it up well. According to Gallup's CliftonStrengths Assessment, I lead with "Strategic" thinking, and my top five strengths include Intellection, Empathy, Context, Connectedness, and Maximizer. I seek roles where I can:- Connect with others- Speak directly to an audience through the written word - Play a crucial role to drive projects forward- Strategize to maximize effectiveness- Take risks to achieve greatnessI subscribe to the same values in content creation and marketing as I do in teamwork: 1. Focus on Relationship and Trust Building. Your client or team has to feel comfortable sharing their ideas & struggles with you. They have to enjoy working with you. Let's all focus on being the kind of person that people want to work with.2. Take a Journalistic Approach. Be curious. Ask why. Push back. Learn as much as you can. Record findings. Take this approach in getting to know your team as well as your client. 3. Support Your Goals. Always ask: Is what we’re doing tying back to the plan we created with the client? Or for team members, is it in support and service of their personal and professional goals? 4. Analyze & Iterate. What is the result? How is it going? For a campaign, what does the data say? How is the client or team member feeling about the project? Check in regularly. What are areas we can improve or make things go more smoothly? I believe that this approach is the path to achieving greatness in campaign performance, customer service, and team building. My specialties include:- Copywriting & Editing- Technical writing- Proofreading- Editorial - Content Strategy - Content Management- Press Releases- Email Newsletters- CRM Implementation- SEO- Campaigns- Brand Strategy- Social Media- Team Management - LeadershipDoes this seem like a fit for your needs? Even if it's not a traditional marketing or content creation role, please let me know if you'd like to chat. I am open to opportunities to learn and grow in the right environment, and am currently taking on freelance projects.

Director Of CommunicationsTriarch Architecture Jan 2013 - Jun 2014Tulsa, Oklahoma AreaAt TriArch, I was a storyteller, helping our education and nonprofit clients create ways to share their stories to raise the capital they needed to accomplish their building projects.Part business developer, part marketer, I researched potential K-12 and nonprofit clients to identify who could most benefit from our services, and visited with their decision makers to understand their needs. From there, I worked with our team to develop proposals and presentations for their boards in order to win the projects. In many cases, once a project was won, I would then orchestrate a PR campaign to help the client (usually a school) gain buy-in from the local community to get their construction bond passed. We were successful in this approach across many communities, including one community where about half the population did not utilize the public school system, but were still able to see the value a new high school would bring to the area and voted in favor of the bond.My specialties at TriArch included:- Business development- Client relations- Community relations- Social media strategy and implementation - Marketing materials- Proposal writing- Marketing and PR strategy and execution- Video production assistance -
