•Contribute to the daily operation of the hatchery, fish hatching, production, and release into specified destinations.•Responsible for assisting with a variety of semi-technical and skilled tasks relating to fish culture and management.•Required to maneuver and secure nets on both sides of the canal to divert fish to specified holding ponds.•Participated in observing the appearance and actions of developing fish.•Accountable for cleaning and maintaining fish raceways.•Assist with the operation and maintenance of field equipment and water quality in the spray canal.•Required to work in all types of weather conditions. •In charge of capturing, marking and the transporting fingerlings to destinations throughout Northern Illinois.
