Assistant Athletic Director, Student Athlete Leadership & Development
Current• Meet with prospective student athletes and their families to discuss support provided related to personal leadership growth, career exploration, and post graduate planning• Establish monthly leadership workshops for student athletes focused on personal discovery and passions through the use of StrengthQuest, Myers-Briggs, and other leadership theories.• Create a career development curriculum for student athletes that begins freshman year and continues through senior year• Design and execute career development monthly seminars/workshops• Cultivate and facilitate the Student Athlete Alumni Mentoring program, focused on career advice, job shadowing, uncovering possible career options.• Produce marketing materials for print and online to highlight events and serve as resources related to resume writing, personal branding, and more• Serve as University liaison to campus partners working in the Ulmer Business Career Center, Speed School Co-op Center, and University Career Development Center, in an effort to build collaboration and share resources for all university students• Meet with all juniors to identify career interests, internship needs, develop a resume, and create a plan for final two years in college• Daily research internship openings, job postings, graduate school programs, and volunteer positions to share with student athletes• Coordinate regional corporate tours and career discussions
