At the Minneapolis Fed's Center for Indian Country Development (CICD), I contribute to CICD's research and policy work by compiling data, conducting analysis, and developing data tools that support the economic self-determination and prosperity of Native nations and Indigenous communities. Currently, my work is focused on Native community financial inclusion and the development of CICD data tools.

The Housing Justice program at the East Side Freedom Library is an interdisciplinary community-driven program aimed at building solidarity among community members and local organizations to increase community-driven solutions to systemic problems in housing. Through my role as a research intern I conducted mixed methods archival and historical research on the history of housing justice activism in the Twin Cities.

Audited department syllabi and evaluated the state of diversity in the course materials. Collaborated and consulted with Dr. Kristine West and the Mapping Prejudice project to investigate how racial covenants have impacted the upward mobility of Black Twin Cities residents.Collaborated with Dr. Caroline Krafft on the UNICEF’s Youth Social and Economic Engagement Study.Developed code in Stata to graph gender role attitudes such as the perception of a women’s role in society, girls’ education, and gender-based harassment in Jordan and Syria and contributed to a working paper.

The Public Policy and International Affairs Program (PPIA) Junior Summer Institute (JSI) is a national fellowship program that prepares students for an advanced degree and ultimately for careers and influential roles serving the public good. The PPIA-JSI is a rigorous seven-week training offered each summer for rising college seniors, with coursework focused on quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.

Undergraduate Fellow working on the project Developing and Visualizing New Types of US Census Mapping Data. Produced 1980 Census Block data for the IPUMS NHGIS data collection and created an interactive web application to demonstrate the changing racial demographics in the Twin Cities. Using this map we performed exploratory visual analysis to investigate how racial covenants have influenced neighborhood dynamics and residential mobility.
