Teacher Assistant for Child Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy course for doctoral students

Implement behavioral plans with individuals with special needs & families. Teach functional alternative behaviors, build communication, social & academic skills. Lead social skills group.

- Educates teenagers to recognize and respond to teen dating abuse- Responsible for recruiting, planning, and developing curriculum for co-ed Peer Leaders (grades 10-12) and designing and facilitating of workshops with co-ed youth in the community (grades 8-12)- Designs each workshop specific for the group presented to, incorporating inclusive, interactive, and educational activities. Interviews, supervises and provides feedback to support college interns- Fosters connections with communicates educators, Temples, and schools- Communicates with and supports teens, parents, community providers and other educators- Manages paperwork and other administrative duties

- Administers measures assessing children’s emotion knowledge, self-regulation, and executive functioning- Records and edits video material- Collects and enters data using SPSS- Researches, writes, and edits material for published academic journal articles- Recruits, interviews, manages, and trains a team of research assistants and data analysts- Aides in classrooms to support teachers and children (aged 3 months-6 years)- Publishes blog posts on the Housman Institute’s website
