I have worked in the finance industry for over 35 years, I left high street banking in June 2016, a large part of my career was working as a Commercial Relationship Manager, looking after SME’s in and around Essex.After leaving the bank, I took 7-month off and returned to the industry working for three well known funders, all in the ‘alternative finance’ arena. I then left the rat race, to peruse a career as a Commercial Finance specialist.I have a great passion for working with independent business owners, learning how they operate their business and the issues they are experiencing. From my Banking career I have the knowledge to suggest solutions which will see your business succeed. You may ask why I wanted to become a broker and the answer is simple. “There are a broad range of funding options available for businesses and I didn’t want to just offer one product/solution when I have whole of market experience. Working at a bank I had a range of solutions for my clients albeit they were all provided in house.”I am used to working with regulations and wanted to become FCA regulated so I can recommend the correct product to my clients and introduce them to tier 1 lender’s in the right circumstances.
