I served as a Project Coordinator and Senior Instructional Designer. My primary client was a major medical device company, but I also worked with clients in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare delivery, and sales. As a Project Coordinator, I was responsible for day-to-day client management, coordination across our design and development teams, budget tracking, and resource allocation. I was also responsible for ensuring client satisfaction with the end-product. As a Senior Designer, I created strategies and architectures for new projects, designed and developed materials, and lead a design team of up to 8 people.Accomplishments:-Designed a 3-week, blended clinical training program that achieved documented improvement in day-one readiness and student engagement.-Proactively developed and co-designed an innovative training architecture for a major client. This approach became the standard across all business units within the company, and serves as a model for sister companies. -Designed 6-week clinical training program for a major medical device company. This included materials such as self-paced e-learning modules, virtual and live class sessions, workbooks, and supplemental training materials. The topics ranged from anatomy and physiology, to marketing strategy for medical device sales, to digital asset utilization.-Designed self-paced training on business acumen topics (such as contract creation, policies and procedures, etc.), and basic computer skills-Developed program architectures and strategies for prospective clients, including IT Project Management processes, new hire orientation programs, and standards training-Managed a team of up to 8 designers and developers, tracking budget and determining proper resource allocation

While at UCLA, I conducted two independent research projects focused on learning and memory in early childhood.The projects included behavioral testing of children aged 0 to 5 years, data collection and analysis, participant recruitment, extensive scholarly research, and preparation of articles submitted for publication in research journals.

I worked under a graduate student on her dissertation research by collecting and analyzing data of behavioral tasks. I also contributed to the preparation of the final project.This study investigated the relationship between parents' language use and the vocabulary development of their children. We found that children whose parents used a greater number of descriptive words (e.g., 'It's a red, round ball') had larger vocabularies than children whose parents used fewer descriptive words (e.g., 'It's a ball').

Dr. Tottenham and her graduate students were investigating the psychological and neurological impacts of extreme deprivation of care in infancy. The children in the study had been in orphanage care abroad, and adopted into American homes. The study was a large scale, ongoing evaluation of the neural and emotional impact of maltreatment in infancy.This lab was located at UCLA until 2013, but has since moved to Columbia University.-Ran run behavioral and physiological tests on children aged 3-18.-Entered data and ran statistical analyses. -Processed extensive data files from fMRI, EMG, heart rate monitors and other physiological measures.
