As an independent contractor for Summus Medical Lasers, I hunt and generate leads for demos at veterinary, chiropractic, pain management and physical therapy clinics across multiple states in the Midwest. Managing my own territory, I am solely responsible for the demo of medical therapy laser devices in the hospitals/clinics, assisting with treatments, helping connect the small businesses with lenders for funding and then training after the laser is sold. I also partner with the doctors or practice manager for marketing ideas for fast uptake with their patients, especially when laser therapy is a new concept. Other responsibilities include partnering with veterinary distributors, hosting dinner seminars, staff training, and participating in state medical conventions.

In this role, I oversaw the maintenance and expansion of my assigned veterinary customer base within a large, multi-state territory. I performed regular calls on client offices or hospitals to achieve annual sales, revenue, and profit goals. I increased market penetration by developing new accounts and fostering relationships with existing clients. I presented product and practice management Lunch and Learns to educate providers and staff on product performance, overcome objections, and find solutions to maximize resources such as staff samples.
