I am a construction project manager at the Toledo Zoo and a retired Sergeant First Class with 24 years of service in the US Army Engineers. I currently manage up to 7 projects valued at approximately 1million dollars. I began my career right out of high school. I was trained in heavy equipment operations, carpentry, masonry, low-voltage electric, water supply/waste lines, and demolition/explosives. I became a team leader after three years and attended senior leadership courses that taught project management, cost estimating, scheduling, safety, and environmental compliance. I rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class and attended joint collaboration courses and professional development courses that taught construction design, management concepts, process improvement/development concepts, and quality management. I implemented many of my skills over a career of five overseas deployments and three overseas training events.I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and graduated Magna Cum Laude. I am currently enrolled in a Master's Degree Program for Business Project Management.
