This involves driving feature enhancements, defining scope and schedule, managing the team, and ensuring successful delivery of the product. I lead a large and diverse team comprising of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, Technology Specialists, Software Developers, and Testers.As part of senior management team, I am involved in building workforce competency as per the vision of the company. Line of Business: Credit Card ServicesThe Online Card Services (OCS) UK application was for credit card customers in UK. The card customers can use the application to Transfer balances from other credit cards or store cards. The application is built upon custom framework using XSL/XML for displaying brand specific layout and content. This solution can make calls to the middle-tier comprising of Business Services and Common services which in turn connects to the mainframe services.Responsibilities:- Hired and led teams for meeting the project goals within the timelines. Ensured efficient project planning, management, and delivery of projects while clearly highlighting and managing risks, issues & dependencies.- Worked collaboratively with the business owners and other technology teams to ensure clarity in understanding of the requirements for each site and feature thereby avoiding rework.- Contributed to overall solution architecture and application design. Developed Application design documents, Coding guidelines and Test plan. Designed and developed the Account Snapshot and Balance Transfer modules.- Integrated the Debit Card Payment service and Funds Transfer Web Service. Used Maven for building and packaging the application code and uTools for UAT deployment and release.- Coordinated with the cross-functional teams to implement release plan. Line of Business: UK InsuranceThe Claims System Replacement (CSR) change program included the delivery of a new browser-based claims system provided by Guidewire called Claim Center. It replaced the RBS Insurance’s current mainframe claims handling system – UIS Claims (Unified Insurance System). As the CSR programme does not include a new policy system, Claim Center (CC) will be provided with its policy information through integration to RBS Insurance’s existing UIS Policy System.Responsibilities: - Responsible for the development of the application design document and the Class Diagram design documents.- Involved in the development of Web Services and the respective Client jars using WSDL provided by the business.- Coding of Mock framework for invoking the web services and getting the desired response.- Development of Unit Test Plans and Unit Test Scripts for the purpose of unit testing and integration testing.Environment: JAVA1.5, JSP, Servlet, Clear Case, RSA, LOG4J, WebSphere 6.1.

PROJECT: IVRS and IWRS Applications for Clinical TrialsSophisticated voice and web-based systems are being used to collect data, randomize patients and manage study drug inventory. Perceptive Voice™ comprises an overall service which uses a technology leading software product ALADDIN™ for patient randomization, study drug management and voice-based systems for data collection. The service was set up in 1995. Perceptive Voice has a comprehensive project and validation lifecycle that includes the management of all aspects of projects. The major functionality covered by the service incorporates: Patient randomization, Inventory management (for clinical supplies and medical devices), Clinical supplies forecasting, Medication assignment, Central code break and Real-time reporting.Responsibilities: - Analyse the requirement specification and prepare Technical Specification for IVRS and IWRS applications for clinical trial studies.- Design and develop the database including the procedures, functions and triggers.- Customize the IVRS application and implement the call flow logic in Aladdin software.- Prepare the alerts and reports using Ireport Software in the prescribed format.- Implemented the business logic in Java using the Struts framework for IWRS application.- Tested the functionality of IVRS and IWRS.- Worked on Change Requests for several studies.Environment: JAVA1.5, PL/SQL, JSP, Servlet, Struts, Tomcat, Toad, Oracle9i, SVN, VSS, LOG4J

CLIENT: High mark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Camp Hill, PA The Mass Adjustments application under the Legacy Modernization project was aimed at automating the process of performing various actions on a package (consisting of claim numbers), including release, pend, withdraw, history reset, and view package details. The application will present the user with a dialog to allow them to enter a PC-based filename to import claim numbers into a mass adjustment package. These claims will then become part of the mass adjustment package. Responsibilities: - Implemented and used Factory, Business Delegate, Service Locator, Data Transfer Objects, Data Access Objects (DAO) design patterns.- Developed User Interface screens using IBM Java Server Faces specifications and RAD.- Developed custom component for displaying a list of checkboxes by extending JSF Checkbox component.Environment: Java, JSF, EJB, Log4J, DB2, RAD, WebSphere Application Server, Harvest, JUnitCLIENT: Physicians Mutual Insurance Company, Omaha, NE Software ConsultantThe Distribution Management System (DMS) project, automates the process of acquiring, managing and compensating Intermediaries. IAA started with significant research and development by IBM in partnership with several large insurance companies worldwide. IAA processes are customized for the specific business needs. Cooperative Robotic Lab (Mech Engineering Dept, UNM)Research AssistantWorked in the field of Navigation, Obstacle Avoidance and Cooperative control of mobile robots with Dr. Herbert Tanner. Developed control schemes both centralized and decentralized to stabilize a team of mobile robots to a particular formation while avoiding obstacles in the environment.
