As a metallurgy Lab engineer some of my work responsibilities include :-*Raw material inspection, Checking chemical composition by spectro and maintain report and document like Supplier and Mill TC certificate.* Grind Burn test *Sample preparation for analysis by cutting, grinding, polishing and mounting them onto specific equipment for checking specific results.*Assist in performing tests such as hardness testing, case depth measurement, ECD, TCD, Microstructure analysis.*I operate & maintain lab equipment such as Trinocular Metallurgical microscope, stereo zoom Microscope, vicker, micro vicker, Brinell, Rockwell and other testing machines ensuring they are calibrated daily and functioning properly.*I record and organize test results measured and observed accurately.I also assist in preparing technical reports & documents.*I follow safety protocols & ensure proper handling & disposal of hazardous material.*I work closely with the lab team, assisting them with various tasks and providing support, new part development and other heat treatment problems.
