With over 20 years of experience in the non-profit and electoral campaign sector, I am passionate about advancing social justice and economic opportunity for all Californians. As the President of Golden State Opportunity, I lead a team of dedicated professionals who work to expand access to the California Earned Income Tax Credit, a proven anti-poverty program that benefits millions of low-income workers and families. I also oversee the organization's strategic partnerships, advocacy, communications, and fundraising efforts, leveraging my skills in civic engagement, government relations, and non-profit leadership. Previously, I served as the VP of Special Projects and Corporate Social Responsibility at NARAL Pro-Choice America, where I spearheaded innovative campaigns and programs to protect and promote reproductive freedom and health care access. Before that, I was the CA State Director at NARAL Pro-Choice California/America for 14 years, managing the state affiliate's operations, policy, and political activities. I hold a Master's degree in Pacific International Affairs from U.C. San Diego, and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from U.C. Santa Cruz. I am committed to creating positive social change and empowering communities through my work.
