Ms. Smith is a co-founding shareholder/partner of Weinberg Kaplan & Smith, P.A. Ms. Smith is a highly experienced family law attorney handling all types of family law matters including divorce, custody, child support and equitable distribution. Ms. Smith is especially passionate about domestic violence matters. In 2010 and 2011, Ms. Smith was named "Top Attorney" in the area of domestic violence by SJ Magazine. Ms. Smith also handles numerous criminal matters including municipal court, domestic violence weapon forfeiture hearings and drug offenses.Before entering private practice, Ms. Smith served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marilyn Rhyne Herr, J.S.C. in the Family Part of the Superior Court. Following her clerkship, Ms. Smith eagerly joined the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office. For 4 1/2 years, Ms. Smith tried numerous jury trials as a member of the trial team. Ms. Smith also gained extensive experience in the area of domestic violence. Ms. Smith is an active member of the Camden County Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association. Ms. Smith is also a Barrister of the Thomas Forkin Family Law Inns of Court. In 2009, Ms. Smith was named the Burlington County Bar Association's liaison to the Domestic Violence Working Group of the Prosecutor's Office.
