Turntable Vintage was a combination vinyl record and vintage clothing store in small town northern BC that was founded as a vehicle to employ, support and train young people and high barrier individuals particularly from the LGBTQ+ community. We operated on a consignment and sourcing model that prioritized repurpose of items and keeping useable goods out of landfill. Turntable Vintage also was home to a free band jam space for local high school students to practice. We hosted regular live music events for the neighbourhood, giving local bands paid performance opportunities.

Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada

Long Table Grocery was a social enterprise in Quesnel that I founded in 2017 with the vision of "Growing Community through Food". Over the next 6 years, we grew into a 7 figure company, that employed 15+ people and supported over 50 local businesses and farms while channeling millions of dollars back into the local economy and providing free groceries to hundreds of families through our charitable partnerships. At the core of our business was the permaculture ethics of "Earth Care. People Care. Fair Share " and we tried to make all our decisions with these values in mind. We are deeply committed to food security and worked with several local organizations towards increasing access to healthy local food for all. In the spring of 2023 the business transitioned from a focus on grocery to catering services, due to shifting community needs and market conditions, and Long Table Catering was acquired by another local business in September of 2023 but continues to operate with the same values, team and offerings.

As the creator and founder of the Small Town Love Project, I conceptualized, branded, and successfully launched several local economy initiatives across northern BC. Notably, I published two print editions of the Small Town Love Guide and collaborated with the Northern Development Initiative Trust to establish the Love Northern BC Project, benefiting over 1500 independent businesses across 30 northern BC communities.

Sprout Kitchen Regional Food Hub and Incubator is a small-scale food processing and innovation hub based in Quesnel, BC. Over a two-year period, I served as the primary contractor for the development of the Strategy and Implementation Plan for the Sprout Kitchen Regional Food Hub, established in 2020. Additionally, I supervised the construction of the Food Hub facility and successfully executed the launch plan for Sprout Kitchen over a 10-month period in collaboration with the City of Quesnel. Throughout this endeavor, I established a non-profit society to oversee project operations and collaborated extensively with the Ministry of Agriculture and the City of Quesnel to secure grant financing, recruit and manage staff, and support the project's launch.

Rebuild Junction Secondhand Building Supply was a social enterprise operated by Quesnel Shelter and Support Society from 2019 - 2019 that employed people who were transitioning to permanent housing. i served as the project creator and coordinator, as well as supporting ongoing operations after launch.

Conceptualized, branded and launched northern BC’s first Charcuterie Food Truck with business partner. Renovated a fibreglass trailer, designed menus, created brand and operated for a full summer season. Negotiated successful sale of business within 6 months of launch.

Conceptualized and founded public space advertising network offering print advertising sales, graphic design as well as Social Media consulting and small business strategy. Negotiated successful sale of business in 2012.

Founded a children's clothing line made entirely out of recycled fabrics. Ran a small retail shop for a year selling handmade goods in Quesnel.
