I am currently pursuing an Education Policy MA at King's College London, building upon my background in International Relations. Throughout my academic journey, I have cultivated a profound interest in addressing critical social issues and creating positive change.My academic path has been defined by my dedication to research projects focused on eliminating child poverty through education in diverse nations. In recent years, my focus has shifted towards dismantling barriers for girls and young women in the education sector. I've crafted policy briefs designed to combat gender discrimination and stereotypes within secondary schools, in addition to, tackling the "leaky pipeline" phenomenon that hinders girls' progress in STEM subjects at secondary and degree levels. My goal is to challenge these biases within education, creating an inclusive learning environment offering equal opportunities for all.A pivotal experience that ignited my passion for social impact was my undergraduate dissertation. It delved into the prevention of sex trafficking in Southeast Europe, revealing the crucial role of education in combatting exploitation. This realisation has become a foundation for my academic and professional journey.I firmly believe that education is a fundamental right and a potent catalyst for positive change and I am determination to bridge the skills gap among young people, ensuring every child is provided with a fair chance to achieve their goals. With my advocacy for effective education policies that empower individuals and communities being a direct result of my unwavering commitment to social impact.
