As a working executive with two young children, I am committed to creating an organization where people can grow professionally, have a positive impact in the world and establish a work/life integration that works best for them.

Hood River County, Oregon, United States

The Hood River Energy Council is working to improve community resilience, increase energy independence, increase investment in local power, and reduce fossil fuel emissions in Hood River County. Council Members serve by helping Hood River County maximize economic benefits and improve community resilience by reducing emissions from the burning of fossil fuels.

The Power Partnership is a unique initiative helping international NGOs and Faith-Based organizations evaluate their energy needs and deploy renewable energy solutions in underserved and hard to reach areas. As a Steering Committee Member I represent Green Empowerment's involvement in work, using our experience and technical expertise to develop digital tools and design-making frameworks to scale this important work.

Manabi, Ecuador

I co-founded and supported the project development of Finca Mono Verde, a sustainable agriculture and building project that I co-founded in Tabuga, Ecuador. We aimed to increase the use of organic agricultural practices and influence healthy local development through experimentation, education, demonstration and investigation.

As a Program Manager I provide consulting and program management services primarily to Energy Trust of Oregon's Existing Homes program. I am involved in a number of aspects of the program including project management, residential energy savings initiatives, program delivery operations, subcontract management, stakeholder relations, budget management and staff management.

As the Program Manager I coordinated a number of projects that include community outreach, research, policy development and educational opportunities primarily around clean energy, climate change and consumer protection. I was the primary grant writer for CUB, managed our large donor program and planned and executed a number of special fundraising events for the organization.

I worked to increase the foundation's presence in communities near the Lalo Loor Reserve where I worked as a Peace Corps volunteer. My role involved development of an environmental education program, community development initiatives and collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment to encourage other land owners to conserve their forests through SocioBosque.

As a Natural Resource Conservation volunteer I completed 2+ years of service in a small rural village on the Ecuadorian coast. I aided the development of the Lalo Loor Reserve, taught 2 years of English, 1 year of Environmental Education and 1 year of Sex Education at the local high school and I helped the community create a directive body and implement a community bank.

As a Co-trainer I worked to develop and implement a 9 week training program to prepare new volunteers for their 2 year Peace Corps service. I prepared and conducted sessions on natural resource conservation practices and functioned as a liaison with the trainees and the Peace Corps staff.

Completed the research project, 'Investigation of Cross-Tropopause Mixing in the Subtropics'. Presented the results at the American Geophysical Union Conference in San Francisco in December, 2006.
