I am a certified Flow waterjet operator. Proficient in Flow operating programs FlowPath7, FlowNest7, and FlowCut7. I'm responsible for converting dxf files to Flow .ord files, clearing them of any nonessential line entities. Determine correct cutting speeds depending on any secondary machining, mating edges, or puzzle fit. Calculating material amounts and sheet sizes, using the waterjet to downsize both cnc and laser list to maximize efficiency. Designed and developed part specific fixtures for secondary cutting purposes.

Making sure the shop and shop equipment is maintained properly. Including overseeing any addition to the shop, ensuring that each addition is completed as expected. I also developed and improved shop processes making the shop more efficient by increasing production and needing less personnel. Communicating with engineering on issues working with them on solutions. While also advising during the design process. Attending weekly project management meeting to communicate and discuss project progress, status, and to build schedules according to deadlines, component lead times, and production changes. Adjacent to my other duties, I am responsible for inspecting or having inspected any in-house produced or subcontracted parts, fabricated subassemblies, and finished machines post fabrication. Ensure inspection tools are calibrated annually along with the welding machines. I also oversee the welder continuity log and am a part of the quality control committee.

Task include the welding and fabrication of the generator main housing, the installation of the engine, generator components, fuel and cooling systems; as well as the production and install of the 535 2kv locamotive load cables and finally the inspection and punch list completion of a finished unit.

Having worked for my father, I was fortunate enough to learn many skills that I attribute to much of the knowledge I hold today. On any given job we performed such task as land clearing, foundation grading and forming, framing, electrical, plumbing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, roofing, painting, and appliance install. On occasion depending on work load, I would supervise sub contractors, who were supplementing our ranks to better meet deadlines.
