Wynne Construction was awarded SME of the Year (up to 250 employees) at the Constructing Excellence (CE) National Awards. This follows the success at the Constructing Excellence in Wales (CEW) awards, where it was crowned SME (1-50 employees) of the year. With the achievement of the PAS 1192:2 accreditation, we are at the forefront of BIM in Wales and the UK. Our growth and success has been achieved through our goal to remain competitive which has produced results of which the company is extremely proud. As a main contractor on the North Wales Construction Framework, we have delivered projects in the public sector as well as private clients in the transport, leisure and sport sectors.Growth has also been achieved through developing best practice and by the adoption of BIM Level 2 technologies and standardised design solutions aligning with Welsh Government targets. Our commitment to this growth in turn creates sustainability for our integrated, indigenous SME supply chain, with 80% of the project spend remaining within the local North Wales economy, and 70% of the project workforce residing within North Wales. On average, each scheme employs 400-500 workers including apprentices, thus safeguarding construction jobs across the region.Fundamental to our success and sustained growth, is our investment in the training and development of our employees and our supply chain partners. The development of internal mechanisms has enabled us to diffuse knowledge and industry best practice to our staff, supply-chain and clients.
