All moves delivered without impact on the customer. Success was delivered through applying a rigorous approach to risk management, contingency planning and stakeholder management. In particular was responsible for making sure there was a successful joint plan and execution across BA and BAA.This role brought together a number of leadership roles undertaken between 2003 and 2008 that resulted in transforming British Airways operational and customer service performance at Heathrow following the opening of Terminal 5. Aircraft punctuality and baggage performance in peak summer 2008 were the best recorded by British Airways since the mid-1980s with over 50% of aircraft ready to go on time and 98% of bags travelling on the same flight as their owner. Customer satisfaction in August 2008 was the best recorded for 6 years. Terminal 5 was awarded Best Airport Terminal in the world for 7 years across the first decade of its operation.
