Serve as an EC145 (Army UH-72A Lakota) Pilot-in-Command in support of the unit’s mission. The unit provides crash rescue and aeromedical evacuation support to Fort Rucker and the local community. Flatiron conducts around-the-clock support with eight UH-72A light utility helicopters with a standard medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) configuration and upgraded avionics and mission equipment. Seven days a week, 24 hours a day, Flatiron maintains aircraft and crews in depth for rapid emergency response. The company medical personnel, fire fighters, pilot, and crewmembers provide unparalleled support to Fort Rucker community in the event of aircraft accident or incident.

Shindand, Afghanistan

Standardization Officer for the US-run Afghan Air Force rotary wing flight school in Afghanistan utilizing the MD 530 helicopter. Responsible for developing and maintaining a sustainable program of instruction (POI) for the Afghan Air Force (AAF). The TAFT trainined the foundation of the future AAF, not only providing rotary wing trained aviators, but selecting the best from the program to train as instructors so that the program may continue after coalition forces handover to Afghan forces.

Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Kiowa Warrior helicopter at the Brigade repsonsible for the Army's aviation training. Responsible for the overall development and management of the Aircrew Training Program (ATP) for 60 aviators (contractors, DA civilians and Army aviators) with specific emphasis on unit flight and academic training, aerial gunnery, tactical flight operations, flying hour and flight record management.
