I've worked at large London ad agencies, I've been a client and run my own creative consultancy. My brand experience has been predominately focused on beauty, hair, fashion, and drink during a career that spans over 30 years, with some notable exceptions in property, professional services, and healthcare. My highlights have included working with Burberry during the 'relaunch years', working with Rimmel, my work for Smirnoff and being part of a global creative collaboration with Mullen in the US, and Kingdom in Mexico that won the TRESemmé brand globally.I've been a Director of Marketing and Creative Services at Arcadia and spent around 15 years in ad agencies such as DDB Griffin Bacal and JWT. At DDB Griffin Bacal I was mainly focused on Burberry, although I worked extensively on brands such as Ronseal, Sandals Resorts, and Loctite. At JWT I worked on Rimmel.At Urbane, I have worked on several Unilever hair brands and many other global brands, including Bupa International, Smirnoff (on their Pride campaigns), Captain Morgan, Viviscal, and Marc Jacobs Fragrances. Director Of Marketing And Creative ServicesParador Properties 2004 - 2008Built a 20 man Marketing and Creative Department from scratch with a communications budget of £13 million. The Department's focus was brand development, lead generation and CRM. I was responsible for building a CRM system and budget tracking software that was linked to a performance tracking system. This resulted in the efficient delivery of KPI's to the business. We helped to grow the business to a turnover of £600M. And we were able to clearly demonstrate marketing ROI and efficiency. As Creative Director I assumed responsibility for our in-house creative department that developed campaigns across all media channels, including TV, Press and online. And I became increasingly involved with our Polaris World partner in the UK, advising on marketing and creative execution.

Fashion Group HeadDdb Griffin Bacal 1991 - 1999Developed a hybrid team within DDB, focused upon Fashion and Retail. My role transcended both management and creative. Within the Fashion unit, I was responsible for Burberry and Pringle of Scotland. We helped to strategically and creatively relaunch the Burberry brand globally. And we reinvented the Pringle creative platform to help them relaunch and regain many retail contracts that had been previously lost on both sides of the Atlantic. However, I also worked on other business in the agency, such as Ronseal, Sandals Resorts and Loctite. With Ronseal it was very much a case of "It does exactly what it says on the tin." We helped Sandals to become award-winning resorts with 96% year-round occupancy. Loctite was sticky! I was involved in the production of global creative, working with other DDB offices around the world.
