Intern in Washington State University’s Bohler Athletic Complex as part of the strength and conditioning minor. I work with Division I athletes and their strength and conditioning coaches; with opportunities to learn through coaching athletes and observing. Primary concepts include sport specific programming, injury prevention, and coaching techniques. Specific experience working with Women’s Rowing and Track & Field Throwers.

Organizing the lead TA’s and assistant TA’s for WSU’s Kinesiology 262 Human Anatomy course. Responsible for addressing both student and TA needs to create and optimal and equitable experience.

Teaching a lab section for Human Anatomy, collaborating with Assistant TA’s, and working to improve the student experience in any way possible. I have created foundational study sheets that are a primary form of teaching the material, hosted office hours, ran both group and individual study sessions, and aided in the organizational aspects.

Representing the Kinesiology department at Washington State University through providing information regarding the department in addition to my unique experience as a WSU kinesiology student. Responsibilities of this role include communicating with prospective students and their families in tours and at WSU events, maintaining a knowledge of the department and its functions, and aiding the department wherever needed.

Summer Position balancing hostess responsibilities for customers dining in and ordering food & beverages to-go. Multitasking between taking customer orders in person and over the phone, seating those dining in, serving ice cream, assisting coworkers, and ensuring an optimal customer experience.

Summer position teaching private swim lessons to young children.

Spent time learning how to teach group fitness classes, with additional time dedicated towards specializing in teaching yoga.

Taught swim to a variety of skill levels & ages, ranging from 2-17, with some complete beginners to competitive swimmers. In both group and private lesson dynamics, students were taught proper water safety, form, technique, and all strokes.

Taught recreational gymnastics ranging from beginner to pre-competitive to students ages 6-15.
