With 25 years of brand communications and marketing experience, I have worked across the UK, Europe, Australia, Asia Pacific and North America. My work explores the tension between desired campaign outcomes and the likely reception by target audiences. I examine market and human dynamics to help position companies for growth, to improve brand reputation and to meaningfully engage people. I provide strategic guidance and lead teams to develop outreach tactics for hard-to-reach communities and craft compelling content to motivate and inspire people. I have trained a range of CEOs and board-level executives on brand strategy, narrative and delivery to help manage various business challenges—from crisis and issues management to mergers and acquisitions. I work closely with senior executives from the private industry, the education sector, government departments and not-for-profits.I am the co-owner and Head of Strategy at Stiff, where we believe in the importance of plain language that respects audiences of all backgrounds, needs and perspectives.
