I was responsible for recruiting students in the Mid-Atlantic and northeast regions in this regional role for the last 5 years. I was also responsible for finding effective ways to utilize our enthusiastic alumnae with new student recruitment. I worked with the Office of Alumnae Relations on various outreach and student events such as Discover Meredith where alumnae bring prospective students to campus. I was the coordinator of our high school counselor fly-in program which was held in the spring on campus. I traveled to campus a couple times a year for events, to visit with colleagues, and to see our beautiful campus!

I was responsible for creating and implementing an alumnae recruitment program to support the efforts of the Admissions Office, strengthen relationships with schools in targeted geographic regions, promote new programs of the college, and identify additional opportunities to recruit top scholars to Meredith. I also worked closely with the Office of Alumnae and Parent Relations to coordinate our Discover Meredith event where alumnae bring prospective students to campus in the fall, as well as our admitted student receptions every spring where alumnae welcomed admitted students into their homes.I also worked with students in the local Raleigh/Durham, the Sandhills region of NC, and some public & independent schools in Charlotte. I was the advisor of the Hues Organization for 3 years which was an organization comprised of incoming multicultural freshmen who assisted the Office of Admissions at campus events and attended local college fairs with our counselors. These students helped our office recruit other multicultural students to Meredith to enhance the diversity of its student body.

As a senior admissions counselor, I managed in and out of state territories including the local Raleigh/Durham area, Sandills region of NC and all of Texas. I traveled in and out of state to recruit high school students at college fairs, arrange private visits at high schools in designated regions for recruitment, provided information sessions on campus for prospective students and families, and conducted campus tours for prospective students and their families. I also served as staff advisor for the Meredith Hues Organization (multicultural freshmen), coordinated on-campus Junior Visitation Days, helped coordinate Leadership Conference for high school juniors, planned Think Meredith Dinners for accepted students and organized group visits on campus.
