👋 Hi, I'm Anna Lee, and I'm working towards a world in which career trajectories are determined not by professional networks, political savvy and confidence, but by an individual’s skills, knowledge and contribution. ❌ Too many employers leave great people stagnating in roles that limit their growth and impact. ❌ Too many leaders either support the career development of a select few (often those who are most like them), or care about their people’s career aspirations only when presented with a resignation letter. ❌ Too many individuals hope like hell that their careers will magically fall into place.😊 ABOUT ME As a speaker and facilitator, I spark career courage, clarity and (perhaps most importantly!) conversations through keynotes, programs and workshops. Since starting my own business in 2008, I’ve spoken to literally thousands of people across 100+ organisations, from big banks to small not-for-profits. With my brother Diarmid, I run Leed Consulting, where I work with employers and professional organisations who recognise the value of diverse and inclusive workplaces, to:✅ equip leaders with tools to recognise bias, challenge systemic inequities and build diverse people’s career capital. ✅ develop the career navigation skills of diverse employees so they have the courage, clarity and connections to contribute to their full potential.I’m also the founder of Hacks for Her, which I launched in 2021 to equip women with the awareness, skills and courage to challenge outdated gendered norms, overcome internalised social messages and take charge of their lives and careers. I don’t deliver word-perfect, “I know all the answers” presentations or programs. I deliver learning experiences that include, involve *and* initiate action towards more inclusive workplaces in which contribution, not connections, determine career progression. ✍️ WHAT I POST ABOUT:👉 Career and life hacks that help people level-up their workplace presence, power and performance, without compromising relationships, values or wellbeing. 👉 Observations on how stereotypes (and especially gender stereotypes) and the in-group effect influence career aspirations, experiences and trajectories. 👉 Advice for leaders and organisations seeking to build diverse people’s career capital, so that individuals can find purpose and fulfillment in their work, and employers (not to mention broader society!) can reap the rewards of amplifying diverse voices, perspectives and experiences. 🌐 You can find out more about me at www.leedconsulting.com and www.hacksforher.com.
