• Work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials for budgets and funding related activities.• Review the technical and budgetary scope of projects and tests with project managers and the NASA customer.• Generate contract requirements, submit contract revisions, and re-phase plans as the scope of work changes.• Update budgets in a timely manner to ensure projects and tests have adequate funding.• Compare estimates to actuals and request additional funds.• Make certain that funding levels are consistent with manpower requirements.• Work closely with the NASA budget office counterparts to ensure the availability of project and test funds.• Resolve inconsistencies and ensure proper costing against the correct funding codes.• Collaborate with project managers to define labor efforts for the out-months input monthly estimates into the cost tracking system.• Research variances and provide explanations for the variances.• Condense weekly labor and materials reports into a user-friendly format, which details available budget versus weekly expenditures and displays remaining manpower for each contract line item.• Participate in weekly meetings with management and NASA customers to discuss the resulting data.• Track purchase orders to assist with projects, verifying funds availability through the NASA budget office and identifying inconsistencies.• Perform other duties as required.
