I am a fully trained Routes Employment Specialist working with the primary care network (PCN). I help people both employed and unemployed either retain employment or to seek new employment. I am mental health awareness trained. I help those with a diagnosed mental health condition or have been receiving mental health support for over 6 months. Part of what I do is to engage with employers to understand their employment requirements and their attitude to mental health. Routes is helping around 500 clients across Norfolk and Waveney.

This was a voluntary role as Trustee and Treasurer for The Holt Community Centre charity number 1046613. As one of the new members of the executive committee, I was instrumental in raising the profile of this valuable community centre and completed a SWAT analysis early on. I helped increase the revenue stream through creating many fundraising events, live bands, bingo and negotiated new user group deals including the securing of banking services such as TSB and BARCLAYS. The overall refurbishment and money generation activities resulted in an annual increase of 137.5% in just 4 years since Jan 2019 to Dec 2022. As a committee we increased our social action activities giving the community a number of free events including the weekly Community Cafe serving upwards of 80-90 free meals per week.

Holt, Norfolk

I originally started work as Branch Manager in 1993 responsible for the general running of the branch and valuer. I became an Associate and given responsibility for looking after the training requirements for the whole firm including continued professional development obligations. My area of expertise extended to appraising land for development, assessing barn complex developments. New homes sales. I left in 2004 and retuned in 2009. I was instrumental in bringing the Holt office back to profitability after just one year with the office awarded for increasing the income by 85% and seeing the fastest return to profitability of any department within Watsons.
