February 2023 joined Norfolk and Waveney Mind as an IPS (Individual Placement & Support) Routes Employment Specialist. Now fully trained in mental health awareness, I assist many amazingly gifted clients find the very best jobs all over Norfolk but mainly concentrated in the NHS areas NN2 and NN4. I help clients either retain current employment or look for new jobs. I help prepare clients by advising on CV writing, letter writing, understanding job descriptions, preparing for interviews etc. A large part of my work includes engaging with the business community, understanding their business, employment needs, assessing attitudes towards mental health and helping to recognise the need to change interviewing protocols to ensure inclusivity towards individuals needs with regards to mental health. Anyone can self refer or refer others to me provided that they have a mental health diagnosis or have been receiving mental health support for over six months Life before Mind:-Approx 35 years of Estate Agency experience. Managing a branch. Carrying out marketing appraisals, winning new instructions, negotiating sales and sales progression. Responsible for employing and empowering staff. For most of those years I dealt with the sale of many different types of residential property and carried out development appraisals for new homes schemes. I also dealt with all aspects of letting property. I resigned as a trustee and treasurer for The Venue Holt Community & Arts Centre (Holt Community Centre) at the end of June 2023.
