Remediated Information Assurance Vulnerabilities on the Unclassified Navy, Unclassified USMC, and Classified Navy networks. Primary responsibilities included ensuring all core applications were updated, operating system patches had been applied correctly, and antivirus definitions remained current (Category 1 vulnerabilities). During preparation for the Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI), these responsibilities were expanded to include Category 2 and 3 vulnerabilities (mainly configuration settings which are governed and managed through Group Policy Objects). These tasks were accomplished through use of applications developed in-house to support the NMCI network, Microsoft standard administrative tools, and personally developed scripts for specific issues (commonly utilized Powershell and WMIC to perform corrective actions on hundreds of machines simultaneously).

Responsible for actively seeking resolutions to customer problems with designated product/service lines, while interfacing with technical and in-house customer service personnel to determine exact nature of problems, and implementing remedial procedures. Resolved less complex problems immediately. Documented all problems and corrective procedures that followed. Became involved in the Critical Support specialty team, and was cleared for and/or granted enhanced administrative rights to work with NNPI (Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information), Classified, Blackberry, Application Hosting Facility, Hosted Virtual Desktop, NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigation Services), and IPL (In Place Load, Windows 7 upgrade process) users and computers.

Monitored enterprise systems and processes through scheduling system software and direct terminal interfaces to the production servers. Performed nightly/weekly/monthly backup procedures for 11 iSeries servers. Assisted AD staff with troubleshooting program/data issues, and implemented updates or hotfixes as needed. Supplemented helpdesk during non-business hours thereby providing Scholastic employees around the world with anytime technical support. Acted as initial point of contact for end users in the production environment, and escalated the contact or advised them as necessary.

Was assigned wherever more hands were needed. This included but was not limited to, feeding machines, packaging products, some material handling, and quality control.
