Involved in the removal, preparation and painting of rotary aircraft. Models I have experience on are the UH-60, AH-64, CH-47 and UH-1. I primarily removed organic coatings through the use of media blasting and pneumatic sanding methods. I have experience using different paint guns including the HVLP, gravity fed, pressure pots and also through brushes and rollers. On a day to day basis I use tools such as 3” and 5” orbital sanders, mallets, scrapers, putty knives and different sorts of masking tape. I am qualified to use a full face respirator and have extensive training and knowledge on the dangers of hexavalent chromium, formaldehyde, epoxy coatings, water based paints, polyurethane paints and much more.

Applied low observable materials and coatings to aircraft. Repaired low observable and metallic structural parts and components to meet requirements for preserving structural integrity. Assessed damage impacts to aircraft signatures. Advised on structural and low observable repair, modification, and corrosion protection treatment with respect to original strength, weight, and contour to maintain structural and low observable integrity. Assembled and repaired using special fasteners and adhesives. Checked repairs for serviceability according to specifications and technical publications. Manufactured layouts, jigs, fixtures, forms, and molds.

Used metalworking equipment and tools to form, cut, bend, and fasten replacement or repair parts to damaged structures and components. Fabricated, repaired, and assembled tubing and cable assemblies for aerospace weapon systems and SE. Maintained and inspected tools and equipment. Performed operator maintenance and service inspections on shop equipment and tools. Ensured lockout and tag-out procedures were accomplished prior to performing shop equipment maintenance. Stored, handled, and disposed of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards.
