Current◙ Led financial sector development projects in insurance, capital markets, climate and disaster risk financing, and financial inclusion.◙ Contributed to key internal policy documents, including the Disaster and Emergency Assistance Policy 2021, Climate Change Action Plan 2023 – 2030, and Disaster Risk Management Action Plan 2024 ‒ 2030.◙ Engaged frequently with Ministries of Finance and sub-national governments, regional partnerships, global organizations (G20, FSB, World Bank, OECD), financial sector regulators, and standard-setting bodies (BCBS, IOSCO, IAIS, and IFSB).◙ Conceived, designed, and executed strategic initiatives, leading project teams of up to 25 and delivering diagnostic assessments and partnership strategies for member countries.◙ Developed a diagnostic methodology to assess the enabling environment of disaster risk financing (including pandemics) and carried out assessments in Pakistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Cambodia, Fiji, and Armenia.◙ Designed and implemented a highly regarded and innovative pilot on weather index-based crop insurance for small farmers in Bangladesh and insurance sandbox regulations in the Philippines.◙ Devised and led insurance pilots in energy derisking in the Philippines and India.◙ Developed coral reef financing and insurance pilot in Fiji, Indonesia, the Solomon Islands, and the Philippines.◙ Gained recognition as a thought leader and subject matter expert on disaster risk financing and insurance, attending conferences as keynote speaker or panelist, appearing on broadcast media, blogging, and regularly publishing white papers and articles.◙ Supported, encouraged, and led a proactive approach to diversity and inclusion, using the bank’s platform to shape local market opinions, policies, and operations to align with global best practice and ADB’s own guidelines.
