Established Happy Earth as a leading distributor for bicycle products in India. Starting with a network of less than 10 dealers for a range of bicycle products, Happy Earth is now a fixture in the high end bicycle industry in India with nearly 200 dealers. Happy Earth is the exclusive face of brands such as Park Tool, NiteRider, SeaSucker, Stan's NoTubes, Cane Creek, Kool Stop, Bitex, Sapim, WPL in India.Happy Earth is still growing. Currently there are two locations (both in Bangalore) - a warehouse and an office. Total team size is 12. I am proud of the employee-friendly work culture I have established. Being smart with setting up the workflows and using the right software where applicable has enabled high productivity and fast response time. Software came naturally to me in this role. The many years of experience working in e-commerce, warehouse management and CRM/CM all came together for the complete solution. New to me was team management, hiring, accounting, finance and workflow standardization. It felt like "swim or sink" and so I learnt to "swim". I'm still learning but I'm past the basics. Consider me an 'intermediate' chief executive.Since 2016, I have managed Happy Earth remotely with regular visits. The Covid-19 pandemic put a stop to regular visits. Thankfully, the many years of tuning workflows for daily operations has meant that the team is able to manage regular operations without needing my intervention.
