Hello! My name is Ashley and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I'm a HUGE fan of science communication, especially when it's about higher education research. Currently, I am pursuing an M.A. in Science Writing at Johns Hopkins University, and I'm set to graduate in December of 2024. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2022 with two degrees – a B.S. in Genomics and Molecular Genetics and a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences. I love science, and my favorite part of it is sharing what I've learned with others. Particularly, my writing tends to center around bioethics, higher education research, diverse identities in science, and scientific profiles.Right now, I am a Sloan Equity and Inclusion in STEM Introductory Courses (SEISMIC) program assistant. Our organization is focused on improving inequities in STEM higher education courses at the individual, class, department, and campus levels. I provide administrative and project support and regularly communicate with members via email and Slack.
