-Feed and water animals according to schedules and feeding instructions-Observe and examine animals to detect signs of illness, disease, or injury-Do facility laundry and clean, organize, maintain, and disinfect animal quarters, such as pens and equipment -Respond to questions from patrons, and provide information about animals, such as behavior, habitat, or facilities activities -Unload and store feed and supplies-Collect and record animal information such as weight, size, and physical condition (using Chameleon Software)-Find homes for stray or unwanted animals

-Measure clients' bridge and eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and optical centers of eyes, using measuring devices-Heat, shape, or bend plastic or metal frames to adjust eyeglasses to fit clients, using pliers and hands-Assist clients in selecting frames according to style and color, and ensure that frames are coordinated with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions-Fabricate lenses to meet prescription specifications -Maintain records of customer work orders and payments-Recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to suit clients needs-Instruct clients in how to wear and care for eyeglasses-Arrange and maintain displays of optical merchandise -Perform administrative duties such as tracking inventory and sales, submitting patient insurance information, and perform simple bookkeeping
