CurrentWorking on designing and development of ION’s flagship realtime back-office trading product XTP: Xtreme Transaction Processing for Exchange Trade Derivatives. The product was re-engineered from a legacy fin-tech system (Ransys- Rolfe andNolen System) and currently has numerous major investmentbanks as its client.• Involved in analysis and development of several key functionalfeatures for the product. This is a continuous process involvinginitial analysis and discussions with business analysts, followedby development of the back-end logic in Java and finally thefront-end in C# using the .NET framework along with the acceptance tests in Python’s Robot Framework.• Contributed in the integration of live performance metrics inthe product, which utilized a Prometheus server to store thedata and Grafana for real-time visualization. This has significantly reduced the time taken for problem identification and in many cases avoid a failure altogether on Production environments.• Made several key performance improvements for many components in the product which involved application of multi-threading interfaces of Java. This lead to 2x-4x improvementsin certain workflows for some major clients.• Responsible for providing support for high priority issueswhich couldn’t be rectified by second-line team. This involvedindependently analyzing huge logs (>100 GB) and accordinglyfixing, if required, within the specified target time.
