www.austinarnold.me____I'm an award winning creative director, with a background in art direction.I graduated from Frostburg State University (yes it was cold, the name fits) with a degree in advertising and marketing. Unfortunately for me that was in '08 right when the economy nose dived and instead of using my degree I soon found myself as a union plumber building a hospital and welding pipes. While playing with fire and adult size lego pieces was fun I knew I wanted to work in advertising. So I sold most of my things drove to Florida and went to Miami Ad School.The first project I ever worked on was for Oreo and it went on to win a Grand Prix at Cannes. The first TV spot I ever made I got to watch in Chicago, during the intermission of the Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup (Go Hawks). And the first kid I ever made is perfect (my bias is showing). Over a decade later I'm still here creating work I'm proud of. I'm living proof that you should take a chance on yourself and chase your dream.I've jumped between full-time and freelance at large holding companies all the way down to small startup agencies. In that time I created 360 brand launches, social campaigns, PR stunts, multi-million dollar TV spots, and everything in between. I've had to hire and build out creative teams to staff accounts, mentor and grow creatives fresh out of portfolio school, judge award shows, act out skits in front of clients, and all of the things that come with this job outside of coming up with good ideas.My favorite part of this job is working in a team environment, utilizing everyone's strengths to solve business problems in a creative way. Everywhere I go I want to learn from the CCO's and ECD's above me without forgetting to help out the younger creatives on my team. I've had some incredible mentors who have helped me out along the way and I'm always trying to pass that knowledge on to the next group of creatives.Im just as blessed in my personal life. When I'm not making creative work for clients I'm with my beautiful wife, daughter, and dog Otis. You'll most likely find us outside going for hikes, horseback riding, camping, playing golf, and riding bikes.Hopefully we cross paths soon.Thanks.
