I was recently asked by my six year old, "daddy, what do you do when you go to work?" A very simple question that generally has a rehearsed answer depending on the person asking. Those answers, those words, the way I typically respond had immediately become futile in the face of a six year old whose patience was wearing thin. After a brief mental panic, I scrambled and found the words, "I help people do more of what they want, when they want to do it." And as I was beaming with pride from my modified response, he chimed in again without missing a beat "you mean like build legos... whenever I want?" And I said, "yes! exactly!"This exchange may not lead you to believe that I'm a retirement plan financial advisor, but, that's me!
