I have held several positions as a designer, graphic artist and production technician with companies such as Walt Klein and Associates, NVIZION, Lowe's Home Improvement as a Senior Print and Web Designer, Lead Instructor of Advertising and Graphic Design at Wilkes Community College, Director of Communications for the Central Florida chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. in Orlando, Florida and Dusobox Corporation where I was a designer for packaging, displays and various retail applications, as well as website design and promotional materials.With over 24 years experience in digital media, I have an expert level of experience in industry standard applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and InDesign. I also have detailed experience in hands-on production and printing techniques such as film stripping and plate output, mechanical board construction and screen printing. I am versed in the usage of Windows OS, but prefer MacOS and am a self-admitted Apple fanboy.I was former owner and chief photographer for Brian Barker Photography, where I photographed special events, weddings, landscapes and still life imagery.I also actively participate with the officially Lucasfilm-recognized Star Wars costuming organization, the 501st Legion; a non-profit charitable volunteer organization which raises funds for groups such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, etc.Specialties: Digital photo manipulation, graphic design, website design, digital and traditional media illustration.
