CurrentTLDR; Serving the Second Step product teams to research, synthesize, and design delightful experiences for school communities. In detail;UX Strategy:- Facilitated a human-centered product visioning process for the SEL district leader experience.- Mapped a viable and customer-validated path forward to improve outcomes for school and district leaders.- Overhauled the information architecture for the revised platform to be clear and scalable.- Hosted story mapping workshops to align disparate product initiatives into one coherent view.UX Design:- Designed account management interfaces and a mindfulness session library for teachers.- Designed a simple onboarding school setup flow for administrators- Researched, designed, and validated the classroom, school, and district-level lesson completion and program adoption reporting, including the design of the data export.- Advocated for usability improvements whenever and wherever possible.UX Research:- Led the research and design process to optimize the teacher experience for bilingual and dual-language classrooms.- Introduced new UX research methods to our team toolkit including unmoderated usability studies, design sprints, in-product feedback, and asynchronous research communities.- Planned and conducted benchmark usability studies to measure the product usability year over year.- Hosted interviews with SEL leaders to learn clear themes of what is most important at different levels of leadership.Teamwork and process:- Formed a UX Writers working group between designers and editors to collaborate on UX copy.- Strengthened relationships between impact research, instructional design, engineering, and UX design by including them in all stages of the design process.- Created a usability testing guide and toolbox to run usability studies quickly by partnering with product engagement and creating clear templates for research planning, scripts, note-taking, synthesis, and learning share-outs.
