Common patterns in young people that go missing involve; emotional and behavioural difficulties, mental health needs, children in care and young people who have experienced forms of use such as domestic abuse, substance misuse, and sexual exploitation. These assessments are then recorded and sent to the police, social care and any other given agencies that are supporting the young person at that time. I also work closely alongside these agencies to ensure suitable care packages are in place and offered to the young people I support. I offer direct work to young people, offering sessions to support a number of needs, for example I have supported young people with self esteem and confidence, positive relationships, with anxiety and depression, looked after children and young people who have been sexually exploited, Group work is also undertaken within this role, as I have carried out sessions to schools on keeping safe, positive relationships and sexual exploitation. I also attend regular meetings, such as CIN (Child in Need) CAF (Common assessment framework) CSE (Child, sexual exploitation) conferences and Child protection conferences with social care and trigger and strategy meetings alongside the police.
