Duke4Sport project creates meaningful connections to grassroots sport clubs, enabling them to attract and retain young players and volunteers to maximise engagement and build a strong culture of community service and youth development.Key Duties:- Stakeholder Management - building new and maintaining existing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including 15 State Sporting Associations and their clubs, to expand their engagement and recognise the Duke 4Sport as part of their member recruitment and retention strategy.- Project management - responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Duke of Ed Award throughout the local sporting community.- Government Funding Applications - building proposals for government funding requests, including budget, expected program numbers, stakeholder analysis, and program overview.- Communications - delivering presentations and webinars to maximise engagement with the Duke 4Sport program, and liaising with stakeholders via email and meetings to build and maintain strong working relationships.- Creating and collecting data from surveys that seek to understand the motivations of young volunteers in sport to inform future projects.Key Achievements:- Collaborated with Swimming WA to create a promotional video that generated 3,500 views, which is the most ever for any Duke of Ed social media post in WA.- Designed and delivered a two-part webinar series for all Duke 4Sport partners and their clubs to discuss the benefits of the Duke of Ed in sporting communities and how to promote the initiative through consistent messaging.- Submitted a project grant application to DLGSC for a new project focused on building the volunteer workforce capacity in local grassroots sporting organisations by leveraging the Duke of Ed partnerships.
